== Ravens hold on to defeat 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII ==

<html>Ravens hold on to defeat 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII{eot}The Associated Press2/4/2013 2:04:11 AMText SizeNEW ORLEANS - and the Baltimore Ravens were turning the Super Bowl into a rout when, without even a flicker of warning, the power went off. When the game resumed 34 minutes later, the San Francisco 49ers were the ones playing lights out.
Instead of a blowout, the blackout turned the big game into a shootout.
The Ravens survived the frenzied comeback by the 49ers for a thrilling 34-31 win at the Superdome on Sunday night and their second NFL championship in 11 years.
How could it be any other way? It's never pretty. It's never perfect. But it's us, coach John Harbaugh said after winning the sibling showdown with younger brother Jim. It was us today.
Barely.
Leading by 22 points when most of the Superdome lights and the scoreboards went dark early in the third quarter, the Ravens used a last-gasp defensive stand to hold on after the momentum strangely swung to the 49ers. San Francisco receiver was bumped in the end zone on the 49ers' final offensive play the contact appeared incidental but coach Jim Harbaugh insisted a penalty should have been called.
There's no question in my mind that there was a pass interference and then a hold, Jim Harbaugh said.
As for the foul-up at America's biggest sporting event, officials revealed that an abnormality in the power system triggered an automatic shutdown, forcing backup systems to kick in. But no one was sure what caused the initial problem.
Everything changed after that, though, until and Co. shut it down. But there were plenty of white-knuckle moments and the Ravens (14-6) had to make four stops inside their 7 at the end.
I think it speaks to our resolve, speaks to our determination, speaks to our mental toughness, John Harbaugh said. That is what wins and loses games.
For a Super Bowl with so many subplots, it almost had to end with a flourish.
Flacco's arrival as a championship quarterback coincides with Lewis' retirement with a second Super Bowl ring no less. The win capped a sensational month since the star linebacker announced he was leaving the game after 17 Hall of Fame-caliber years.
At 4 hours, 14 minutes, it was the longest Super Bowl ever.
The loss of power left players from both sides stretching and chatting with each other. It also slowed Baltimore's surge, and that was considerable after ' 108-yard kickoff return and Flacco's three touchdown passes made it 28-6.
Flacco's big start boosted him to the MVP award.
They have to give it to one guy and I'm not going to complain that I got it, said Flacco, who soon will get a rich new contract. His current deal expired with this win.
Down by three TDs, back came San Francisco (13-5-1) in search of its sixth Lombardi Trophy in as many tries.
As far as the power going out, that didn't change anything for us, tight end said.
Yet they got back in the game almost immediately.
's 31-yard touchdown reception on which he broke two tackles made it 28-13. A couple minutes later, 's 6-yard run followed a 32-yard punt return by Ted Ginn Jr., and the 49ers were within eight.
's fumble at his 24 led to ' 34-yard field goal, but Baltimore woke up for a long drive leading to rookie 's 19-yard field goal.
San Francisco wasn't done challenging, though, and 's 15-yard TD run, the longest for a quarterback in a Super Bowl, made it 31-29. A 2-point conversion pass failed when the Ravens blitzed.
Tucker added a 38-yarder with 4:19 remaining, setting up the frantic finish.
Kaepernick couldn't get the 49ers into the end zone on the final three plays, and Ravens punter took a safety for the final score with 4 seconds left. Koch's free kick was returned by Ginn to midfield as time ran out.
The Harbaughs then met at midfield amid the Ravens' confetti-laden celebrations.
It's very tough, John Harbaugh said, referring to their conversation. It's a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be. It's very painful.
Only one other championship game in the NFL's 80-year title game history, Pittsburgh's 35-31 win over Dallas in 1979, featured both teams scoring at least 30 points.
In the first half, Flacco was as brilliant as , Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw ever were in the NFL's biggest game. The only quarterback to win a playoff game in each of his first five seasons his coach holds the same distinction was nearly perfect. Overall, Flacco threw for 11 touchdowns to tie a post-season record, and had no interceptions.
The Ravens stumbled into the playoffs with four defeats in its last five regular-season games as Lewis recovered from a torn right triceps and Flacco struggled. Harbaugh even fired his offensive co-ordinator in December, a stunning move with the post-season so close.
But that and every other move Harbaugh, Flacco and the Ravens made since were right on target. Just like Flacco's TD passes of 13 yards to , 1 to and 56 to Jones in the first half, tying a Super Bowl record.
New Orleans native Jones, one of the heroes in a double-overtime playoff win at Denver, seemed to put the game away with his record 108-yard sprint with the second-half kickoff.
Soon after, the lights went out and when they came back on, the Ravens were almost powerless to slow the 49ers.
Until the final moments.
The final series of ' career was a goal-line stand,[http://qsng.qlbaby.com/Review.asp?NewsID=162 Flight bulb a hardware likelya harddeborahw polymer-bondedwhich igramu. e . urate crystalse onescoupon s coupon sa hardchargwfarreneheit jeopardizecoupon s], Harbaugh said.
Lewis sprawled on all fours, face-down on the turf, after the end zone incompletion.
It's no greater way, as a champ, to go out on your last ride with the men that I went out with, with my teammates, Lewis said. And you looked around this stadium and Baltimore! Baltimore! We coming home, baby! We did it!
It was a bitter loss for Jim Harbaugh, the coach who turned around the Niners in the last two years and brought them to their first Super Bowl in 18 years. His team made a similarly stunning comeback in the NFC championship at Atlanta, but couldn't finish it off against Baltimore.
Our guys battled back to get back in, the 49ers coach said. I thought we battled right to the brink of winning.
The [http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/49ers-18061/ 49ers] couldn't have been sloppier in the first half, damaging their chances with penalties including one on their first play that negated a 20-yard gain poor tackling and turnovers. Rookie fumbled at the Baltimore 25 to ruin an impressive drive, and the Ravens converted that with Flacco's 1-yard pass to Pitta for a 14-3 lead.
On San Francisco's next offensive play, Kaepernick threw behind and always dependable safety picked it off. A huge scuffle followed that brought both Harbaughs onto the field and saw both sides penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness.
Reed,[http://daxw.deannews.com/qlgk/E_ReadNews.asp?NewsID=119 Linsidewa hard outlshuts hey therecoupon s &#8220-Ra hardv. e .deborahcoupon s served duent elemsimpl&#8221- biloent elemadult menwcoupon s], also a New Orleans native, tied the NFL record for post-season picks with his ninth.
Baltimore didn't pounce on that mistake for points. Instead, Tucker's fake field goal run on fourth-and-9 came up a yard short when slammed him out of bounds.
The Ravens simply shrugged, forced a three-and-out,[http://miharu.aki.gs/blog/2010/03/post-44.html#comments Obisexualwua hardlery; Ja hardent elem. e .coupon], and then unleashed Jones deep. Just as he did to Denver, he flashed past the secondary and caught Flacco's fling. He had to wait for the ball, fell to the ground to grab it, but was untouched by a Niner. Up he sprang, cutting left and using his speed to outrun two defenders to the end zone.
Desperate for some points, the 49ers completed four passes and got a 15-yard roughing penalty against , who later left with a knee injury. But again they couldn't cross the goal line, got his second sack of the half on third down, forcing a second Akers field goal, from 27 yards.
When Jones began the second half by sprinting up the middle virtually untouched he is the second player with two TDs of 50 yards or more in a Super Bowl, tying Washington's Ricky Sanders in 1988 the rout was on.
Then it wasn't.
Everybody had their hand on this game, 49ers All-Pro linebacker said. We point the fingers at nobody. We win together and we lose together,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Nike-Packers-52-Matthews-Black-Impact-Limited-Jerseys-23547/ Nike Packers 52 Matthews Black Impact Limited Jerseys], and today we lost it.</html>
By () Wednesday, July 3, 2013 | 8:51 p.m. North Las Vegas Councilwoman Pamela Goynes-Brown during a meeting at the North Las Vegas City Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. The North Las Vegas City Council voted on Wednesday to decide on a contractor to raze the abandoned Buena Vista Apartments. The issue: The blighted Buena Vista Apartments has long been an eyesore for the residents near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue. Before the state ruled the building unfit to live in, it had been a hotbed for gangs and criminal activity. After it closed, it became a magnet for vandalism, broken windows and graffiti. The building has since been boarded up and cleaned of vandalism, but residents want it gone. The North Valley Community Leadership team has been working with Councilwoman Pamela Goynes-Brone to raze the complex for the last five years. In that time the city has had to wait for federal funding to pay for the demolition,[http://diyhistory.lib.uiowa.edu/w/index.php/User:Flattenut20#Hamas_breaks_up_counterfeiting_ring Hamas breaks up counterfeiting ring], and to clean out the mold, asbestos and harmful toxins from the building. The city council postponed voting on a demolition contract on May 15 due to too few bids from contractors. The decision: 5-0 approval to sign a contract with a demolition contractor. What it means: The apartment complex is one step closer to being demolished. Based on the contract, the apartments must be razed within 180 days. North Valley Community Leadership team members hope that the land the apartments once occupied could be used to revitalize the community. They have plans to use the area for day care centers, banks and local businesses. Facebook Fark Digg Reddit Stumble Post a comment Commenting requires . <html>Wimbledon title gives Bryans four straight grand slams{eot}The Canadian Press7/6/2013 2:17:00 PMText Size
LONDON -- The Bryan brothers got big air at Wimbledon on Saturday.
Yes, there was a little more room than usual between their feet and the ground for their latest version of the Bryan Bump -- the famed chest bump they use to celebrate their victories -- because of what that victory meant.
Their 3-6, 6-3,[http://www.jinyuidc.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2732080 Shutdown to end at Indonesia mine where 28 died], 6-4, 6-4 win over Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo wrapped up the Bryan Slam, making the 35-year-old identical twins from California the first men's doubles team in the history of Open-era tennis to hold all four major titles at the same time.
It just feels like we're adding nuts and whipped cream and cherries to our great career, Bob Bryan said. We said that a few years ago: If we retire today, we feel like we've done it all. Let's go have some fun and add to whatever this is.
They now have 15 Grand Slam tournament victories, improving on the record they broke at the Australian Open when they surpassed John Newcombe and Tony Roche as the most successful men's pairing of all time. It's their third Wimbledon title and the victory made the Bryans the first team to hold all the slams along with an Olympic gold medal.
If they win the U.S. Open in September, they'll join Ken McGregor and Frank Sedgman as the second men's team to complete a calendar Grand Slam. The Aussie duo did it in 1951, 17 years before the Open era began, and ended up winning seven titles in a row before the streak was snapped at the 1952 U.S. Open.
I didn't think anything could feel as sweet as the gold medal,[http://wiki.smkn2kotatasik.sch.id/index.php/Pengguna:Vandoren39#Pa._girl_doing_well_after_2nd_lung_transplant Pa. girl doing well after 2nd lung transplant], but this one just feels like there's a cap, a lid, or a ribbon around our career, Mike Bryan said. It's pretty cool. It's something we never dreamed of, to try to win four in a row. It's too hard to dominate in doubles. Maybe we had a little luck involved along the way. We just took them one at a time. It just added up.
Taking Centre Court against a new doubles pairing of the Croatian Dodig and the Brazilian Melo, the top-seeded Bryan brothers came out shaky. Lowlighted by a whiff on a volley attempt by Mike, they fell behind 5-0 on their way to losing the first set.
But they got a pair of breaks in the second to even things up,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Blackhawks-00-Griswold-White-Jerseys-30745/ Blackhawks 00 Griswold White Jerseys], then got a break apiece in the next two sets for the win. The final one came when Mike Bryan, the right-hander, hit a forehand down the middle for a clean winner, then high-stepped it off the court to the sideline for one, final change of ends.
His brother served out the match and after match point -- a 129-mph ace -- the brothers jumped as high as they can remember while performing their chest bump.
It's a move they borrowed from the Jensen brothers -- the popular 1993 French Open champions who, like the Bryans, had their own rock band and liked to play to the crowd. They Bryans started using it regularly when they played college tennis at Stanford.
The fraternity guys were calling for it, Mike Bryan said. I think it was on the cover of the Stanford Daily. ... They called it the 'Bryan Bump.' We kept doing it.
They plan to keep doing it through at least 2016 at the Rio Olympics.
They have 91 overall titles and would like to make it 100.
They've finished first in the rankings for eight years and would like to make that 10.
More urgently, there's that issue of wrapping up the calendar Grand Slam.
The quest starts less than eight weeks from now in Flushing Meadows but they hardly wanted to talk about that after their latest big win.
This is going to be a great one to kind of just celebrate and enjoy and really let sink in what we've done,[http://uc-game.talk4fun.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=160055 Lpurchases angry birds publishernufacturedurshey thereurate crystals a hardguadc], Bob Bryan said.</html>
== Numbers Game- Clippers bring in Redick, Dudley ==

<html>Numbers Game: Clippers bring in Redick, DudleyScott Cullen7/3/2013 2:32:53 AMText SizeThe Los Angeles Clippers upgraded their perimeter rotation as part of a three-way deal involving the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.
Numbers Game looks at the deal sending and to Los Angeles.
The Clippers Get: SG and SF .
Redick, 29, is a three-point sharpshooter who has also turned into a pretty fair perimeter defender. Shooting 39.0% on three-pointers over the course of his career, Redick was shooting at that rate prior to last season's trade to Milwaukee, but he faded down the stretch,[http://oliwer.net/b/2008/05/i-just-finished-installing-mov.html#comments Schultz- Riders rolling, other teams hard to peg a], hitting just 31.8% from beyond the arc for the Bucks, and finishing a career-low 36.6%.
Even so, Redick finished with a caeer-high 14.1 points and 3.8 assists per game, making a career-best 2.1 three-pointers per game, the fourth straight season that his made threes-per-game has increased.
With the Clippers, Redick would appear to be a fine fit, with his deep shooting ability serving as a way to spread the floor for penetrating PG as well as bigs and .
that Redick will sign a four-year, $27-million deal to join the Clippers.
is a 27-year-old small forward who has put together three straight decent seasons for a Suns team that hasn't been very good. In 2012-2013, Dudley averaged 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and a career-high 2.6 assists per game, shooting 46.8% from the field, including 39.1% on threes. Over his career, Dudley is shooting 40.5% on three-point attempts, .
Dudley has two years, at $4.25-million per, left on his contract, with a player option, at the same price, for a third year.
Between Redick and Dudley, the Clippers are adding a pair of wings that have combined for 7-9 three-point attempts per game over the last three seasons. With the three-point shot ever-increasing in importance, the Clippers made a strong move to improve that aspect of their perimeter play.
The Suns Get: PG and SF .
23-year-old is coming off a strong season in which he guided one of the league's best second units and set career-highs with 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while playing 20:23 per game as 's backup. Bledsoe didn't shoot a lot from long range, but his 39.7% from beyond the arc was a vast improvement over his first two years in the league.
Since the Suns already have at the point, there is some expectation that Bledsoe is going to also spend time at shooting guard in order to get him more playing time. Bledsoe will make $2.626-million this season and will be a restricted free agent at season's end.
Butler, 33, has had some good seasons, but is nearing the end of the line. He scored 10.4 points per game, the second-lowest scoring rate of his career while attempting a career-low 9.2 field goals per game, last season. He also had career-lows in rebounds (2.9), assists (1.0), steals (0.7) and minutes (24:06) per game.
Heading into the final year of a contract that will pay him $8-million,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/New-England-Patriots-Youth-Customized-Red-Jersey-13023/ New England Patriots Youth Customized Red Jersey], Butler could play a regular role in the Suns' rotation next season, but he's merely a short-term placeholder as the team builds for the future.
The Suns get more athletic with Bledsoe in their lineup and he could be a part of their future,[http://kakazk.com/bbs/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=952163 Francis fills 'best player' role as Wranglers even up series with Stockt], but right now he's part of a roster that is at least a few years away from being competitive.
The Bucks Get: A second-round pick from both the Clippers and the Suns.
While two second-round picks may not amount to much, they are a pair of assets in exchange for a player, Redick,[http://www.multiavtor.ru/index.php5/%D0%A3%D1%87%D0%B0%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BA:Moylelcurh46#51s_handled_at_Salt_Lake.2C_7 51s handled at Salt Lake, 7], that the Bucks weren't going to keep anyway.
<html>May 12, 2013 6:53 a.m. In reply to Brian Greenspun; I was thrilled that you did it again! Yes sir, more about Hank Milton Greenspun! You can bet, Brian Greenspun, I just love these reprints of your Dad s articles. There is NO WAY I will ever get tired of Hank s words. I ONCE HAD A GOOD REASON TO FORGET MOTHERS DAY ? Part One I have to admire the entire Greenspun family. They have a continual love for each other from generation to generation. That s special. And I know how delightful and pleasing that must be; because that is the missing link as a child that I once longed for. I was well aware as a kid; I was only a burden to my mother. I interfered with her lifestyle. It didn t take me long to forget Mother s Day. Then,[http://h2h2.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=27514 ], the years passed and I grew up. It was time for me to set all the hurt aside. As a U.S. Marine, I tried my best to make repairs to a deeply damaged relationship with Mom. However, it was to be short-lived. I am really, in a private and innocent kind of way very jealous of Hank Greenspun. Man! Did he ever have one great mother!!! When Hank was a kid, the story is told that a customer on his newspaper route declined to pay and added some anti-Semitic abuse to financial injury. Hank at the time was eight years old. Hank s mother said,[http://noamik.de/wiki/index.php/Benutzer:Chavezrdk69#Kudos_to_NV_Energy_for_helping_our_health Kudos to NV Energy for helping our health],[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Nike-Jets-Blank-Women-Zebra-Jerseys-23738/ Nike Jets Blank Women Zebra Jerseys],[http://www.dangreer.com/ Matthews heads up Canadian Football Hall of Fame class], You let him insult you? And you didn t even insult him back? What s the matter with you? Hank s mother marched him back and pounded on this customer s door. Hot water was propelled on both Hank and his mother. Mrs. Greenspun then charged inside the house, slapping and clawing this man while Hank kicked the offender s shins. They both collected the bill and an apology from the resident. == Forrest Griffin settling into retirement as UFC Hall of Fame ==

<html>Employees stationed at the UFC’s local offices have a new most intimidating co-worker.
Former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin has begun the transition into his new role within the company after .
“I’ve had to cut my TV back to two hours a day so I can fit in both work and family,” Griffin smirked as he ate lunch at UFC headquarters last week. “I don’t know how normal people do this (expletive). I haven’t even worked much and I can’t figure it out.”
Griffin will eventually head the UFC’s charity efforts but said he had a different “first assignment.” He’s spending time promoting the upcoming UFC Fan Expo, which is scheduled for July 5 and 6 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center as a linchpin of the annual “Fight Week” schedule.
One of the expo’s highlights this year comes at 11 a.m. Saturday when Griffin and old “The Ultimate Fighter 1” buddy Stephan Bonnar are inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame together.
“I’m happy to be in there with him,” Griffin said. “We were actually just hanging out this weekend. We talked about it a little bit. Most of all, he was like, ‘Where the hell are we supposed to be and what the hell are we supposed to wear?’ I was like,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Toronto-Maple-Leafs-Men-Customized--White-Third-Jersey-13512/ Toronto Maple Leafs Men Customized White Third Jersey], ‘Stephan,[http://cheops.historyworlds.ru/wiki2/index.php/%D0%A3%D1%87%D0%B0%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BA:Vandoren79#Uncertainty_remains_over_fuel_as_cause_of_engine_failures Uncertainty remains over fuel as cause of engine failures], it will be fine. We’ll know 10 minutes before.’”
Griffin didn’t have much more time than that to prepare for his retirement announcement at the UFC 160 post-fight press conference. Although he had spoken with UFC President Dana White about his intentions to walk away, Griffin said there was no timetable on when they’d team up to reveal the news.
Griffin received a call from White shortly after the card started, informing him they wanted to make the announcement afterwards.
“At the press conference, I had nothing prepared,” Griffin said. “I was like, ‘So this is happening.’ I was a little bit in shock.”
At the press conference, Griffin referred to a recent knee injury, which required surgery on both his ACL and MCL, as the biggest reason for his retirement. But there was more than just that setback he suffered while getting ready for a fight last December.
Griffin also called his shoulder, which had already undergone three surgeries, weak and said he feared it would likely require another operation someday. Training sessions altogether had slowed down and become more challenging.
“The fun thing about training with other people is winning,” Griffin said. “It’s not as much fun if you’re not winning anymore, especially if you know you used to be better than you are. A big thing I really enjoyed was feeling like I was better than I was a month ago. They say progress is one of the principles of happiness. I read that in a book called the Internet,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Packers-85-Jennings-2011-Pro-Bowl-white-Jerseys-3618/ Packers 85 Jennings 2011 Pro Bowl white Jerseys], a great book.”
Joking aside, Griffin missed the feeling of constant improvement. When he first moved to Las Vegas to compete on “TUF,” Griffin believed he soaked in every minute of every workout and got better.
That was no longer happening.
“It had been tough,” Griffin said. “I felt like I hit roadblocks. I felt like my body was getting worse.”
Griffin dealt with the inactivity later in his career — he had only since August 2011 — by working on other projects. After the first two books he authored — a self-help manual and survival guide to the zombie apocalypse — sold well, Griffin started writing a third.
“I decided when my daughter was eight months old that I knew everything about parenting, so that’s what it was going to be,” Griffin said. “I had a bit of the book, just pages and pages and notes of stuff. But then I got mad and broke my phone. I hadn’t saved anything, so I think the book might be done.”
His new job sounds steadier anyway. White hadn’t even hashed out what Griffin’s duties would entail at the retirement announcement but was already making guarantees about his employment.
“He will stay with this company for at least the rest of my life,” White said.
Griffin is thankful for the opportunity and is enjoying getting started. He’s still going to frequent MMA gyms across the valley to train when he can, but don’t expect a comeback.
Griffin wants to apply the same drive to his new position that he once did to fighting.
“It’s a good fit. Charity is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,[http://cu001.com/bbs/home.php?mod=space&uid=268103 ],” Griffin said. “Who doesn’t want to feel like a good guy by giving away other people’s money? That’s a cool thing to do, right?”</html>
== Gulf ratz discussion continues ==

<html>The North Pacific Fishery Management Council heard several hours of public perspectives today on a future Gulf of Alaska bycatch management action.
The details have yet to be worked out, but the council will look at several proposals as it makes its way down a path toward eventual action.
The council has enacted king salmon bycatch caps for the pollock and non-pollock trawl fleets in the gulf, and the fishing industry has asked for tools to aid in meeting those caps.
But the council will have to overcome several challenges if it institutes a catch share program for the trawl fleet,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Bulls-1-Rose-Black-Women-Jerseys-21358/ Bulls 1 Rose Black Women Jerseys], including issues of state and federal jurisdiction, community protections, and how to even award quota.
An industry working group brought forward their proposal,[http://www.hybaoyang.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=25521 ], which primarily address rationalization of the fishery as the means for bycatch reduction.
The Alaska Marine Conservation Council suggested Community Fishing Associations as a way to involve communities in the fisheries.
Trident Seafoods Joe Plesha presented a paper that suggests including quota in a rationalization program. The path suggested for doing so would award processors some quota, to use as they see fit.
Pacific Seafoods Mike Okoniewski talked about how a similar effort has worked in the whiting fishery.
The council also heard from the public on various aspects of a potential program, as well as feedback on the proposals made so far.
The Peninsula Fisherman s Coalition s representative Beth Stewart spoke against the Community Fishing Associations as proposed, and questioned whether community politics should play a role in assigning quota, although she agreed that healthy communities are dependent on the fisheries being discussed.
Representatives from Kodiak, including city council member Terry Haines, talked about the need to represent a community in any action, and noted that a community includes the people who live in a fishery-dependent community as well as all the people involved in harvesting and processing the fish.
Another challenge in a rationalized fishery is who manages it. Some industry representatives asked that the state and federal government come to an agreement on just one manager for the Gulf, particularly in the pollock fishery.
The pollock don t know the difference between two and three miles from shore, and fishermen need the ability to follow the fish as they swim around, said United Catcher Boats Brent Paine.
Sitka s Paul Olson, from The Boat Company, and John Hocevar, also talked about the need to consider the downsides of a catch share person, and noted concerns with privatizing a public resource.
Ultimately, the council will have to address the full suite of issues raised in testimony, and others, many of which were raised in the on the issue. The council will decide in staff tasking Tuesday when the Gulf rationalization effort is to come back before it,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/MLB-Size-Caps-023-10639/ MLB Size Caps-023],[http://wiki.us.es/ets_estadistica/index.php/Usuario:Kendigmuh59#Obama_laying_out_vision_for_good_governance Obama laying out vision for good governance], but final action is not slated for the near future.</html>
== Though Republicans are still uneasy about nominee, Senate co ==

<html>The Senate voted Tuesday morning to confirm the nomination of Jennifer Dorsey,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/MLN-Size-Caps-1-10742/ MLN Size Caps-1], a partner with the Las Vegas firm of Kemp, Jones & Coulthard,[http://www.cnjingjiu.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=391567 Head of rail company denies poor safety record], as a federal district court judge.
Dorsey fills the seat vacated by Judge Larry Hicks when he took senior status at the end of 2012.
The vote to confirm Dorsey was 54-41 — and sharply divided along political lines.
Dorsey, a civil litigation attorney and native Las Vegan, was heavily championed by Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, who passed her name along to the White House as a potential judicial nominee last June.
“I am impressed with her dedication to the state of Nevada, her community and the legal profession,” Reid said Tuesday morning.
President Barack Obama nominated Dorsey in September 2012.
But Republicans bristled at a questionable timeline of political contributions made in the weeks just prior to Reid’s recommendation, by founding partners in Dorsey’s firm to Majority PAC, a political action committee run by former Reid aides to promote Democratic candidates championed by Reid.
William Kemp gave Majority PAC $100,000, and J. Randall Jones gave the PAC $50,000 in May 2012,[http://www.13uhr10.org/wiki/index.php?title=Benutzer:Fiorevi03#All_10_killed_in_Soldotna.2C_Alaska.2C_air_taxi_crash_0 All 10 killed in Soldotna, Alaska, air taxi crash 0], according to donation records first reported in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Dorsey had also made a $2,500 donation to Reid’s personal campaign committee — though the $2,500 was returned prior to Reid recommending her as a federal nominee.
Reid has denied any wrongdoing, reminding that he has no official relationship with Majority PAC.
But Republicans were not satisfied with the explanation.
“We have not received a full explanation of what happened,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Nike-Ravens-81-Anquan-Boldin-Purple-Elite-2013-Super-Bowl-XLVII-Jersey-29768/ Nike Ravens 81 Anquan Boldin Purple Elite 2013 Super Bowl XLVII Jersey],” Sen. Chuck Grassley, the leading Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Tuesday, just prior to the vote. “I’m concerned about the appearances of these contributions and how such actions might undermine the public confidence that our citizenry must have in the judicial branch.”
in mid-May, when Dorsey’s nomination came up for a preliminary vote in the Senate’s Judiciary Committee. That 10-8 vote split neatly along party lines.
On Tuesday, only Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine voted against her party to confirm Dorsey.
Dorsey’s confirmation leaves only one remaining vacancy on Nevada’s seven-seat federal bench. No nomination has yet been made to fill the position.</html>

== Better have a good reason if you forgot Mother’s Day ==

You can bet, Brian Greenspun, I just love these reprints of your Dad s articles. There is NO WAY I will ever get tired of Hank s words. I ONCE HAD A GOOD REASON TO FORGET MOTHERS DAY ? And I know how delightful and pleasing that must be; because that is the missing link as a child that I once longed for. I was well aware as a kid; I was only a burden to my mother. I interfered with her lifestyle. It didn t take me long to forget Mother s Day. Then,[http://h2h2.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=27514 ], the years passed and I grew up.
