He then checked his wallet and found the credit card used to make the purchase missing from his wallet, police said.

Burglary ? A resident of the 400 block of Brights Lane, Penllyn, reported at 1:17 p.m. Aug. 23 that someone entered a property she is renovating and pulled a water line, flooding the inside and causing damage, police said. The resident said she believes someone got into the building through an unsecured rear screen door and pulled a water pipe away from the wall of the laundry room, police said. The water damaged portions of the laundry room, kitchen and basement, police said. Two ladders valued at $200 and $89 were also stolen from the property, police said.

Charges pending ? Charges of driving under the influence are pending against Dominick K. Washington, 21, of the 6700 block of North 15th Street, Philadelphia, after he was found driving a stolen vehicle at 12:04 a.m. Aug. 25 on Linden Avenue near Walnut Avenue in North Hills, police said. An officer observed Washington turn from Walnut onto Linden and almost hit another vehicle, and he appeared to be having problems operating the vehicle, police said. The officer asked Washington, who showed signs of intoxication, if he was OK, and Washington exited the vehicle and was unsteady, police said. Washington refused to perform field tests or take a portable breath test and he was taken into custody and transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for a blood test, where he was uncooperative and verbally abusive, police said.
