Just like countless Houston homeowners do each year, commercial landlords are complaining about their property taxes.

The Houston Buildings Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) said Tuesday that the Harris County Appraisal District has put unusually high valuations on their properties for 2013.

Houston BOMA members are extremely concerned about the negative impact these appraisals will have on businesses. Property taxes are nearly always passed on to tenants as operating expenses.
