== A ‘Gone Girl’ update- Affleck to play Nick ==

 +
<html>By the way, anyone else noticed that Gone Girl is still in hardcover, for the second consecutive summer? Obviously Gillian Flynn s twisty he-said/she-said thriller is still selling. Anyway, the movie preparations continue apace, with the big news being that  to play suspicious husband Nick, whose wife Amy has gone mysteriously missing on their anniversary. Not perfect casting I was thinking maybe Ryan Gosling (a casting suggested by a colleague of mine),[http://zzzlu.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=50837 ],[http://www.jerseys-ns.net/NHL-Caps-015-12074/ NHL Caps-015],[http://gov.mn/index.php/%D0%A5%D1%8D%D1%80%D1%8D%D0%B3%D0%BB%D1%8D%D0%B3%D1%87:Langeland53#Huskies_add_Canadian_big_man_0 Huskies add Canadian big man 0], or perhaps Ethan Hawke or (I m dreaming here) Joel Kinnaman but Affleck I can definitely live with. David Fincher is definitely set to direct (perfect), and the film will shoot this fall,[http://www.agri.kmitl.ac.th/wiki/index.php/%E0%B8%9C%E0%B8%B9%E0%B9%89%E0%B9%83%E0%B8%8A%E0%B9%89:Langeland87 Hero flight attendants show job isn't about looks], with Affleck moving on to direct Dennis Lehane s Live By Night after that. But I m getting a little concerned about Amy. Reese Witherspoon is producing but apparently isn t planning to star (or, if she is, she s being awfully quiet about it); and says that Natalie Portman, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron are being considered. Hmm. Portman s completely wrong (too young, both in years and persona). Blunt s an interesting idea she can do anything but again, too young; she s a decade younger than Affleck and the book is clear on the fact that Amy is just a bit older than Nick some of the plot points won t make sense if Amy is so much younger. But Theron . . . now we re getting somewhere. I was originally thinking Amy Adams,[http://www.jerseys-ns.net/Tottenham-Hotspur-3-Bale-black-jerseys-8496/ Tottenham Hotspur 3 Bale black jerseys], but I think Theron might be even better; she plays wittily wicked awfully well (see: Snow White and the Huntsman, Young Adult ). Stay tuned.</html>
