The two have always had more than a few things in common.

LeRoy, a truck driver and a father, served in the Navy and in Vietnam the same time as Bruce, who was in the Army and is now retired. Bruce is also a father.

Same symptomsLeRoy said his brother was ?white as a ghost? and ?sicker than a dog? when they met up in Waite Park.

?He was having some kind of pain in his right lower abdomen area,? LeRoy said of his brother. Bruce initially sought treatment at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System, where he was told he should go to St. Cloud Hospital.

?At St. Cloud Hospital, they checked him out with an ultrasound and X-rays and told him that his gallbladder had to be removed,? LeRoy said.

About 7 p.m. Sunday, while LeRoy sat in the hospital waiting room, he began experiencing the same symptoms as his brother.
