	The Department of Law announced that James Scott will replace Dave Brower as Juneau district attorney. Scott is currently an assistant district attorney in the Ketchikan District Attorney s Office. He has worked for the department in that capacity since 1999. Prior to that, he worked in Illinois as a prosecutor and in private practice. Brower will retire from state service effective April 30. Brower has been with the Department of Law for nearly 22 years, working in both the criminal and civil divisions. He also worked for the state as an officer in the Department of Corrections.
