We found cheap houses for sale all over the country. I and my wife Ana were on a drive round the country. It was a holiday, but we looked at houses too, and ordered one-in an excellent little town in the hills of western Montana. It cost $17,500, and we lived there for several months before attempting to sell it for $28,000, after $2000 to correct it up. We loved Anaconda. Where else are you able to fly fish, go-to a three-dollar film in a old art-deco theatre (the fifth most beautiful in the united states, in line with the Smithsonian), fall some nickles in a video slot, eat at a great restaurant, visit the club for a money beer, and get a home for under $30,000 - all within a four-block area! This explains why people left the location within the 80's, after the mines and smelters shut. Since it still has most of the basic ammenities, is cleaner now, and is slowly recovering, it is a terrific place to retire to or to move to when you have a web or other non-location-based business. An unhealthy local economy is the reason you can purchase cheap houses in many elements of the country. These are cities that have seen troubled situations, but are usually recovering, sometimes with reasons. Anaconda, as an example, now has, along with it is wonderful mountain scenery, a ski resort and a Jack Nicholas golf course. Homes cost four times as much one hour in any way, and these costs are bound to achieve Anaconda eventually. Cheap Houses You may not Want To Get There are areas such as the one in South Dakota where we stopped for lunch one day. A bulletin board had ads for low priced houses for sale by desperate people trying not to be the last to leave town. There is an image of a beautiful old five-bedroom farmhouse for $11,000. As we ate, we looked up the deserted road and noticed that all the buildings were boarded-up. This was a dying town, with nothing to help restore it. Inexpensive Home For Sale - Our Requirements There are many wonderful areas, from Florida to Oregon, where there are cheap houses available. Populace of 4,000 to 80,000. 2. Good collection. 3. Good grocery store. 4. Movie theatre. 5. A minimum of six houses for sale under $50,000. 6. Town features a great &quot;feel&quot; to it. After much research, we found a number of cities that met our criteria, including some with domiciles for less than $30,000. There are really nice villages out there where you could find low priced homes for sale.
