All 16 returning 2012-13 NBA D-League teams were able to protect the rights to 12 players per team.? The expansion Sevens were able to select from that allotment of unprotected players, with no more than two selections from any NBA D-League team.

That law was only repealed in 1992, and the state established standards and regulations for its production. The agaves are slowly roasted in underground pits, imparting mineral nuances to the liquor.

Mezcal — Though a generic name for all spirits distilled from the agave, it's more often associated with the maguey agave spirit produced primarily in Oaxaca and to a lesser extent in the states of San Luis Potosi, Michoacan, Jalisco, Durango, Morelos, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. It is usually produced in smaller batches, and the agave heart, or pi?a, is cooked in an underground pit lined with volcanic rock. The smoky flavor that results does not lend itself to mixing, so it is usually drunk in straight shots.

Raicilla — A fermented pre-Hispanic drink that has been prepared by traditional methods for 500 years, raicilla is based on wild agave plants, though agave is now cultivated for the purpose in the state of Jalisco. Long regarded as "moonshine," it is now regulated and produced legally in Jalisco.&nbsp;

Sotol — Produced in northern Mexico from the Desert Spoon cactus (sotol in Spanish), sotol is distilled in much the same way mezcal is. Though common in Sonora, Chihuahua, Durango and Coahuila, commercial versions are extremely rare.

 Philippines Defence Secretary Voltaire Gazmin told a congressional budget hearing in Manila that China had violated the DoC by getting ready to build new structures on the disputed Scarborough Shoal.

 "We have ... sighted concrete blocks inside the shoal which are a prelude to construction," Gazmin said, displaying air surveillance photos of the rocks.

 He said the photos were taken on Saturday, describing them as a worrying pattern of construction that would be similar to the building of a garrison on Mischief Reef in the late 1990s.

 Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said he had "no information" about Gazmin's accusations.

 Regional security scholar Ian Storey said that if Gazmin was correct, it would mark the biggest violation yet of the 2002 declaration.

 "The Chinese government is willing and ready to assume a policy of seeking an appropriate resolution through friendly consultations," Li told the audience, which included Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

The number three quarterback spot could be one of those, but with Rex Grossman out, that ideally would seem to fit that Shanahan feels good enough with him in. During 2011 to figure out the #3 QB role, Mike Shanahan had Kellen Clemens and Matt Gutierrez fighting it out, but neither ended up making the team as the Redskins went with Grossman and John Beck.

That s not to say that will be the same case for Pat White, who seems to have earned a fan favorite role already for whatever reason, but he s going to need to bring something to the table if he plans on stealing the job from Grossman.

While he can run the read-option quite well, there s still a lot of work to do, especially in the passing game which has been his main issue. While the read-option depends on the dual threat of both the running back and quarterback, the quarterback also needs to pass in order to keep defenses on their toes, otherwise you see a 2011 season where defenses stacked the box constantly.

If Pat White can show he s been able to fix all of that in less than a week, he might have a shot at making the team, but the odds are currently against him, and playing against others who have no shot at making a team isn t going to give him any extra points.

While most of the starters won t play tonight, we could still see some action from others who might need more playing time.

Leonard Hankerson could be one of them as he continues to be inconsistent on the field. Though he has gotten better going over the middle, he still continues to drop passes that should be routine for him. If he plans on being in the starting lineup this season, he s going to need to start catching consistently.

His second game (third preseason game against Buffalo) he was much better, with three receptions for 31 yards. Though he doesn t appear to need any time playing as his route running and catch was superb, Shanahan could throw him out for a couple of series.

Three receivers to watch tonight are Dezmon Briscoe, Skye Dawson and Nick Williams. Both Briscoe and Williams appear to be guys who could be in the mix for the future, but might not make the team this season. Briscoe has been getting better as of late, and Nick Williams has been compared as the next Wes Welker. If that s the case, Shanahan knows it and will make a spot for them.

While Skye Dawson might not be able to make the team as a WR, or at least not at this time, there s a good chance he could see it as punt returner, as the Redskins currently are without return man Richard Crawford, who was lost for the season after tearing his ACL, MCL and LCL.

Chris Thompson could be a candidate for the return job as well, but has issues holding on to the ball which doesn t appear to be an issue for Dawson. Of course there s always DeAngelo Hall and other veterans such as Santana Moss and Aldrick Robinson, but it might not be wise throwing your every down starters in at punt returner.

Evan Royster should see playing time after he missed last week s game against Buffalo with an injury. Royster could be on the bubble of being cut this season, so he will need to make the best of his opportunity tonight.

Chris Thompson and Jawan Jamison should both see much more time as the starters will be kept out of the mix. For a player like Jamison who has been given limited reps, tonight might be his best shot at opening Mike Shanahan s eyes as to why he should be here. His reputation coming out of college was he was a similar back to Ray Rice.

If that is true, Mike Shanahan knows it; he after all is the King of running back draft picks.

David Amerson might have shown enough to be rested this game, but Bacarri Rambo will need to show much more as his preseason campaign hasn t been nearly as bright as Amersons. The only issue of course is Rambo is the starting free safety; if an injury were to occur the backfield would be significantly limited as the team as already lost Phillip Thomas for the season.

On the other hand, Brandon Meriweather is expected to play a few series tonight, so it might be a good idea to have the two play together during that time to give each other a feel for one another and what s expected this season.

Brandon Jenkins should be another watch tonight, as so far this preseason he has caused major issues for opposing offenses. Kevin Kolb found that out when he was taken down for a huge loss on a sack. With injuries to Kennan Robinson and Rob Jackson, Jenkins could be called upon early this season.

There s a lot to watch for rookie wise, but otherwise the Washington Redskins roster is 95% shaped up to the way it s supposed to be.</html>

The story in last year’s preseason around the quarterback position, was not who was to be the #1, but Kirk Cousins unseating Rex Grossman as the first back up.

We all know that White was drafted by the Dolphins in 2009, played sparingly that year before being cut in 2010. He has been out of football ever since. White is now slated as possibly playing the whole game on Thursday against the Bucs. Is this to help him out, get more film of him playing, to help him get a job in the NFL? Or is it a final audition to be Redskins’ QB3?

Many people are more familiar with tendencies during preseason games than I, but this is a bit unusual isn’t it? The whole game? Maybe the coaches feel they don’t need Rex to take any more snaps – they know what he can do – and with both Griffin and Cousins returning from injury, they may well be being over-protective of Rex…just in case.

So is there a chance that White remains with the Redskins? How well has he played this preseason?

Pretty good on the face of it I would say. His stats are moderate – 15/28 passing (with at least two drops) for 149 yards, 0 TD, 1 int, plus 12 rushes for 83 yards and two scores.

But looking a bit closer at the drives; he has been in for 13 drives (plus one victory formation), led the team to four TDs and a field goal, a total of 32 points. A fair return, but I would suggest it is more a question of the manner in which he has led the team which, to me, has been very impressive. Considering how long he has been out of the league, he has looked like he belongs in the NFL.

The decision of which player to keep should not be down to a direct comparison with Grossman, because it’s more of a question of what they want or need from their #3. Hopefully he will never be needed as that would mean either RG3 or Cousins will be leading the team. But how long will Cousins stay with the Redskins? He knows his role is to be a back up but if another team came along, needing a young, talented leader, then Cousins would be high on most team’s lists.

So what do the Redskins want from their number three? Grossman offers experience, deep knowledge of the offensive system, knowledge of defences, and Good Rex. But, he also offers limited athleticism, doesn’t run the option offence, a tendency to turn the ball over, Bad Rex.

White however, can offer athleticism, ability to run the option offence, and a running threat. I’ve enjoyed watching him play this preseason, maybe because he is a poor man’s RG3, maybe because he’s the underdog and we Brits love an underdog. But he is improving with every drive and every game, and he may yet fulfil his potential coming out of college. I for one, can’t wait to see what he can do Thursday night and I’ll be rooting for him to play well and claim that #3 role.</html>

Favors had to play behind veterans Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap after being traded to Utah. It was probably the best thing that could have happened to him, too. Now that those veteran bigs have moved on via free agency, Favors will become the low-post anchor for the Jazz. He ll become the walking double-double he should be now that he ll have an expanded role.
