 According to him: Some of us have seen a situation, where budgets crashed within six months of its announcement because oil crashed. 

 Also yesterday, the FRC faulted&nbsp; the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, who had alluded to the FRC as being a sleeping watchdog. 

 El-Rufai had blamed the commission for some of the country s economic woes, accusing it of being lax about fulfilling its role.

 He said looking at public expenditure and available resources, budgets over the years had risen and had often been over-bloated, making it difficult to achieve 80 per cent implementation.

 He said presently, no state could boast of a decent budget, adding that only Lagos State could afford to fulfil its financial obligations out of the allocations from the federation account.</html>
