== Fuel Fix Shell names new CEO to replace retiring Vos == <html>(AFP PHOTO / BEN STANSALLBEN STANSALL/AFP/Getty Images) Royal Dutch Shell selected its future chief executive officer, refining leader Ben van Beurden, indicating its plans to leverage its chemical and refining expertise to keep pace with the growing role of downstream. Van Beurden will succeed current CEO Peter Voser in 2014, . “His focus has been downstream, including 10 years in liquefied natural gas, which may surprise some who expected more upstream focus (Marvin Odum, Andrew Brown, or CFO Simon Henry),” wrote Tudor Pickering Holt in a Tuesday morning analyst’s note. “However, Royal Dutch Shell has significant leverage to liquefied natural gas,[http://usaww.jp/cgi-local/bbs/joyful.cgi Is Social Bookmarking A Good Way To Market My Inte],[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Royals-48-Soria-dark-blue-Jerseys-645/ Royals 48 Soria dark blue Jerseys], gas to liquids, and petrochemicals.” No. 1:? Van Beurden, 55, has been Downstream Director since January 2013. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. Peter Voser will leave Shell at the end of March 2014,[http://www.nsl.co.jp/jinzai/postmail.cgi This is the form of SEO that completely focuses on], marking the end of 29 years with the Company. JJG Cleaning Services bid on 10 contracts for cleaning services and won eight of them. But Department of Administration spokesman Andy Mills said the company terminated three of the contracts "due to workload and staffing issues,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Mens-Nike-Houston-Texans-Customized-White-Jersey-12668/ Mens Nike Houston Texans Customized White Jersey]," the Juneau Empire reported (http://bit.ly/17g9wBz ). REACH Custodial Services had held the contracts for 20 years under the state's "employment program and disability preference." The preference allows the state to give extra consideration to businesses owned by or employing people with disabilities. It also allowed for the contract with REACH to be exempted from the procurement process. The nonprofit REACH helps and employs people with developmental disabilities. Mills said the contract with REACH was valued, but the competitive bidding process needed to be reinstated. "While we cannot answer for previous administrations,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Nike-Bears-15-Marshall-Black-Impact-Kids-Limited-Jerseys-29848/ Nike Bears 15 Marshall Black Impact Kids Limited Jerseys],[http://sea.scatv.ne.jp/~bodysaron/postmail/postmail.cgi Web Design that Really Gets the Job Done], this administration has a strong focus on cost savings and best value resulting in the first competitive bid in recent memory for janitorial services in Juneau-area state offices,[http://www.DaveOnFilm.com/review-oblivion-10723.html#comments COLUMBUS, Ohio- Meyer- Hernandez murder charge not]," Mills wrote in an email. JJG will provide custodial services on the contracts until a new contract is awarded. Even with the 15 percent "procurement preference," REACH's bid wasn't competitive enough during the last round. Millie Ryan, executive director of REACH, said her group plans to rebid on janitorial contracts for the State Office Building, Dimond Courthouse and third floor of the Capitol, where the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor are located. "We'll be taking a look at what we did before, but we need to make sure that whatever we put in is going to cover our costs," Ryan said. "We will make it the most competitive bid that we can make it." Ryan said most who worked at the state offices were able to find other jobs after the contract ended July 1. It goes like this: Muh-law-saw. If that doesn t help, just think about New York Giants star Pierre Garcon, and you’ll have a rough guide for pronouncing Brian Melancon’s name. Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan sure needed a guide during Melancon’s UFC 162 win over Seth Baczynski. The UFC broadcasters used approximately 25 different pronunciations of Melancon’s name, and none of them were correct. Not even close, really. But Melancon doesn’t blame them one bit. “Usually, if people can’t say it right, I’ll just tell them to pronounce it ‘Muh-lon-son.’ That’s the best,[http://www13.plala.or.jp/white_roots/gwbbs/gwbbs.cgi Grasp Your Lifespan - Selecting Your car Keys Take],” Melancon says. “I actually told the UFC the right way to say it, but also said that if they were going to butcher it to just say Muh-lon-son. They said Meh-lan-son because of Randy Couture’s grappling coach Neil Melanson.” Melancon was at home when he got the call offering him the fight with Baczynski. “The first thing I thought was ‘oh crap, I’ve got to get in shape.’ I’d taken some time off with the new job and I’d just gotten married,” Melancon says. “I’d been eating at all these different places because that’s what people my age do when they get off work: they go to happy hour. “I had to talk to my wife and figure out if I wanted to make that sacrifice. I’d just gotten a promotion at my job, so I had to give up that position. But once I decided to do it, I didn’t care who they put me up against. I’m glad it was more of a mid-level guy that was respected in the UFC. Seth had only lost in his current stint in the UFC to Mike Pierce by decision. So I was happy about that.” All Melancon wanted was the chance to fight someone that would move him up the divisional ladder. Baczynski was that opponent, and so Melancon told UFC matchmaker Joe Silva that he’d accept the fight. He was already training, getting back into shape, and shifting gears to prepare for Baczynski wasn’t a problem. Melancon felt no nerves walking to the Octagon for his UFC debut. This is not normal,[http://cgi.tako.ne.jp/~friends/bbs3/light.cgi?res=13734 Gaining the Greatest Results by Making the Most ou], and most fighters will tell you that first-time Octagon jitters are a real thing. You start thinking about the weight of everything you’re doing, that you’re about to step into the hallowed cage of the biggest and best fight promotion in the world. Not Melancon. “It was just another day at the office. I actually felt more calm than ever before. I said a few prayers in the back just to make sure I stayed calm and relaxed. I was joking with my teammates,” he says. “One of the main things I kept thinking about was that this was my only goal that I set for myself in MMA. I wanted to fight and win in the UFC. So I just wanted to enjoy the moment and not take it for granted. I enjoyed the whole process.” Melancon certainly enjoyed the process. Especially the part where he clubbed Baczynski on the jaw with powerful ground and pound shots, knocking him out and earning a TKO victory with one second left in the fight. Watching the fight in the arena, I couldn’t be sure whether Melancon had won the fight or if the referee stopped it because time had expired. There was never any doubt in Melancon’s mind that he’d won the fight, though. “I saw his eyes roll back in his head and I knew he was out, so I hit him with a few punches so the ref wouldn’t have a choice but to stop it,” he says. “The ref broke in and stopped it, and I knew he was out. I knew he was going to stop the fight. I would’ve been surprised if he didn’t,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/Capitals-1-Varlamov-white-winter-classic-Jerseys-7194/ Capitals 1 Varlamov white winter classic Jerseys], to be honest.” After the fight, Melancon made waves in the internet-verse by mentioning legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. The Russian heavyweight is Melancon’s favorite fighter of all time, and there are certainly worse role models to have. “I loved the way he fought and his style. He was always undersized and didn’t look like this crazy Alistair Overeem type. None of that ever even mattered. He was calm and mild mannered, and was always humble and respectful,” Melancon says. “He would walk in there with this straight face, not amped up or angry or anything. And then it was like he was shot out of a cannon,[http://www.jerseys-hearts.com/2011-2012-Club-Real-Madrid-23-Ozil-White-Home-Jerseys-7857/ 2011-2012 Club Real Madrid 23 Ozil White Home Jerseys], going after people. I’ve studied a lot of his fights and I’ve seen every fight he ever had. He’s a big influence for me.” The UFC will return to Melancon’s hometown of Houston in October for UFC 166. The main event is a heavyweight title rematch between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, and Melancon would sure love to be on the card. He’d also like to see fellow Houstonians Daniel Pineda and Andrew Craig on the same card. But mostly, he’d just like to fight in front of his friends and family. “I talked to Sean Shelby and he gave me Joe Silva’s number. I texted him and told him that I’m ready for that card. It’s my hometown, and if he needs a welterweight,[http://www.nbycys.com/bbs/boke.asp?oranjijmm25.showtopic.11156.html Be taught how to make a first-rate webpage or webs], I’m in,” Melancon says. “Everybody obviously wants to fight in their hometown, so we’ll see if it happens. But I definitely would love that opportunity.” “It would be awesome to fight on the same card as Daniel and Andrew. I trained with Andrew for our fights, and Tim Kennedy also came down to train the week before the fight,” he continues. “They made sure to put us all in the same locker room. It was a really cool experience to be on the biggest card of the year with a couple of my buddies.” My time with Melancon is drawing to a close; he has places to eat and people to see. He’s also working with Justin Wren’s “Fight for the Forgotten” charity that seeks to liberate slaves in the Congo, give them running water and a sustainable way to make a living. Wren is spending a year in the Congo; Melancon will do whatever he can to help out back home. But before he goes, I have to ask the one question all MMA journalists are seemingly required to ask: who does he want to fight next? “It doesn’t matter to me. Whoever is going to help me move up in the standings is fine with me,” he says. “Being that I just had my first fight, beating Seth was a good statement that I’m in the middle of the pack. Whoever they would like me to fight next is fine with me; I don’t need to pick anyone out.” And with that, Melancon must go. But you can be sure that you’ll see him again, perhaps even here in Houston at UFC 166. And wouldn t that be something?</html> == Manziel pleads guilty on charges of failing to identify hims == <html>| | Johnny Manziel s off-the-field actions have kept the quarterback s name in the news.
