Ce "yakuza", ce marginal est un Ronin, un tueur maniant le sabre comme personne, n'espérant plus rien de la vie. Le hasard le conduit à Akita. Dans cette ville, dominé par le palais du Daimyo, il va croisé celui qui est la seul chose qui compte encore à ses yeux, celui qu'il n'a pas vu grandir: Son fils!
