The Chance of Peace in the Middle East

In reading JJ Goldberg article "As Bibi Slouches Toward September" the 2009 week (Forward, June 3, 2011) I was struck on the visceral hate oozing beyond his words; daggers aimed in the heart of Israel and its political establishment. Goldberg, like many American Jewish liberals can't tolerate the fact there are leaders in Israel with a clear vision for Israel's future, unwilling to compromise while using core values that are essential for survival. It so happens that it's those leaders who hold a number through coalition building and for that reason speak for almost all Israelis. One would feel that a liberal like Goldberg would respect the political will of the people. Nor could Goldberg accept with magnanimity Benjamin Netanyahu acceptance and warm welcome by Congress less a politician but as statesman addressing them as a possible equal offering his vision for peace and Israel's future.

Then in the 1990's, I remember this same person seated for peace talks with President Clinton and Israel. He actually won a Nobel Peace Prize as a result of these talks. At this time I thought that Palestine was ready for change with Israel, but that lasting peace would only come due to the Palestinians, not due to Israel. I thought whenever peace was broken, Palestinians were the source and Israel was taking action due to this.

To the North, town of Haifa posseses an active, working port, both commercial and naval. In addition, Haifa houses the incredible Baha'i World Center and Baha'i Gardens. Haifa has always a mix of Jewish and
AdChoices non Jews, living predominantly harmoniously together. However, due to Haifa's proximity to particular hostile nations in proximity across the water, they will be ever- vigilant of attacks from missiles, etc.Where the major medical centers in Israel will be the Hadassah University Hospital, school of medicine and dental schools in Jerusalem, along with the Tel Aviv Medical Center and University in Tel Aviv, Haifa and of this northern region is covered medically by a tremendously dedicated staff at Ramban Hospital. The area near Ramban Hospital houses the hospital/ medical center, the Rappaport Medical School, as well as the relatively new Graduate School of Dentistry. This center has become crucial in serving medical and medical needs, especially in the numerous outbreaks of hostilities. It is important to realize that although Israel is 52 years young, it has become engaged in six wars during its short existence. Further for the north is the mystical capital of scotland - Zevet (also known as Svet, siffet, Sfter, etc), one of several poorest regions of Israel socio-economically. Zivet may be the birthplace of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism and spiritualism, there are many incredible artists that stay in the Old City of Zivet. With over 1.2 million tourists annually, Zivet has more tourists per square mile than somewhere else in the united states.Because in the proximity in the Golan Heights, this area may be severely devastated during several wars, which is obvious why the Israelis feel so strongly they cannot permit hostile enemies to occupy the Heights, for major security reasons. It is obvious for the impartial observer that Israel must assure the citizens with the northern areas from the nation, they will have comparable medical and dental attention because the major cities in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

David, who was simply a shepherd taking care of his father's sheep, was anointed while Saul had been king. Saul's and David's relationship was very complex. David calmed Saul's spirit regarding his beautiful playing with the harp, he married Saul's daughter Michal and was appointed commander with the army by Saul. But when Saul heard about David's destiny because the next anointed king he made many attempts to kill him, mistakenly thinking that David was considered a rebel who deserves death with the Torah law.

King Saul's son, Jonathan, designed a covenant with David, the son of Jesse, that he, David, could be the next king, and David decided to care for the descendants of Jonathan. They both agreed how the Lord will be between their seed forever. This meant the House of Judah along with the House of Joseph will be there for each and every other over the Lord forever. The honor of King David relied on it. It was a covenant.

Feel free to visit my weblog [http://www.autobild.es/thoughts-swift-secrets-israel-tours israel tour]

The God and His Prophet - Jailer

I knew Obama's Middle East speech last Thursday was obviously a bombshell when my 19 yr old daughter called me in a very panic, "Mom, did you hear Obama's speech on Israel?" Having spent all day in Atlanta with Israeli family that was in town for hospital treatment, I had to confess that I hadn't. Even though I knew about this, I had planned to trap the gist at my hotel room that night. "Mom," she said, nearly in tears, "Obama wants Israel revisit the pre-1967 borders." I must confess just a little pride at that moment that my 19 yr old understood the full ramifications of that statement better than most American Jewish adults, not to say typically apathetic university students. I informed her I would call her back after I a chance to glance at the speech and digest it.

Though I couldn't obtain the video without delay, I read enough to make sure that her worst fears; an American President did indeed demand that Israel to revisit the 1948 armistice lines. In reading the administration's protests that Obama merely confirmed publicly what had been discussed privately, it occurred to me if the US administration's role is really a neutral facilitator in the negotiation, then Obama's failure in the Middle East can be explained with the paradigm of mediation.

And once you've made that little drive, I think you'll feel special you made it. OK, it hasn't got all of the facilities of a Tel Aviv beach, nevertheless the sea is fantastic (when is the Med never great?), there's hawaiian isle to explore only a quick wade away, you will find fishing boats bobbing inside the sheltered bays, and finding a quiet area for you and your beach towel is reasonably easy, even during peak season.

Instead, Palestinians delayed negotiations due to possibility of Israeli construction in "settlement" areas. However, when Israeli leadership twice agreed to no construction in those areas, Palestinian leadership still refused to negotiate. When one realizes that the "settlement" areas constitute below 2% with the West Bank, one can see that "settlements" aren't the real sticking examine Israeli-Palestinian talks.

In reality, whenever a mugging comes about, the witness to the scene has a responsibility. Perhaps you do nothing -- somebody else is getting mugged that is certainly not your business. Many cities have 'good Samaritan laws' which speak for the morality to do nothing while an offence is being committed. You are in the wrong place at a bad time, the same manner the person getting mugged is in a bad place at the incorrect time. However, you saw the crime and also you now have a duty that you can't avoid. When countries commit crimes, the choices are no different than each time a crime has committed by an individual. While the options are the identical, the consequences of accomplishing nothing are a great deal more severe. The ultimate example is Nazi Germany and WWII. Suppose in 1939, the world community, understanding what Hitler was approximately, had acted preemptively. Let us point out that the moment the world saw Hitler's designs on Poland, it attacked Germany. Let us also believe that the act of attacking Hitler's Germany triggered a war in which one million people died. Yet Hitler's designs on world domination were stopped. It prevented the Holocaust from happening and yes it prevented a war where over 65 million people died.

Feel free to surf to my web blog ...
