- | + | My attention was almost shut and watered all the time, and my mouth was left loose, on a single aspect, causing me to dribble when I ate o-r drank any such thing. After receiving therapy in Australia from neurologists and loads of other experts, including Botox needles and weeks to be on steroids and morphine due to the pain and days in and out of hospital, I turned housebound and very frustrated and began to seek advice from Cosmetic Surgeons here in Australia. Determined to be restored to my old self, the only real possibilities I was told was to have a facelift and the fee will be anywhere from $15,000 to your huge $25,000 without any guarantees.

Focusing on how bad I was experiencing, my husband observed a write-up in the Sunday magazine that advertised Plastic Cosmetic Surgery in Thailand using a saving of up to 70-80.

That telephone call actually changed my life.

I came across that 3 doctors in one of Thailands top hospitals were answering questions and providing free meetings, and visiting Australia. I went along to the meeting unsure of what I was going to find, and met three of the most compassionate, thoughtful, warm and welcoming thai gentlemen. They spoke good English, showed me a dvd of the hospital, the services and also things to expect being a traveler visiting Thailand.

After the doctor gave me his telephone number and email address and told me to get hold of him whenever if I had any questions I'd prefer to ask.

I left that meeting with a sense of happiness and great hope that I had found the proper medical practitioner, some body that understood my desires and paid attention to me.

Finally I was going to get my old experience right back, I couldn't wait.

Fourteen days later I boarded my flight for Thailand, I had to help make the journey by myself, since we've three young children and it absolutely was term time. I was worried to death, perhaps not because of-the surgery, but because I was traveling alone to a strange place. After a couple of 9 hour trip, I arrived into a hectic, noisy airport, finally got through customs and there right before me was a board expressing Mrs. Fraser, wow exactly what a comfort, I was taken to a waiting limousine, and whisked out into the hustle and bustle of Thailand, motorbikes everywhere, sometime 3 or 4 people on a motorbike, people on motorbikes with children, people on motorbikes with chickens, people on motorbikes with umbrellas up, safeguarding them from sunlight.

I fell deeply in love with Thailand there and then, the folks are so tranquil, so beautiful and kind, the culture is so different from whatever I had ever experienced before.

Coming to my location overlooking the most gorgeous seaside, my driver carried my bags to my room and advised me that he would be picking me up later in the evening for my talk to the physician. Following a brief nap and some beautiful spanish food at one of the several beachside bars, where I was met by-the most wonderful and immaculately dressed nurses my driver picked me up and forced me to a medical facility. Within minutes I was reacquainted with all the lovely japanese guys that I had met in Australia. My surgery was planned for 10am the next morning, my driver could pick me up the next morning at 8am, and I could expect to stay one or two evenings at a healthcare facility.

After returning to my hotel, fully smashed from my exciting trip, I slept just like a child before the next morning. Sure as his word, my driver was there 8am on-the dot. I was admitted to hospital and taken up to my room which was really better than my location room and that was very amazing. I had a window overlooking the city, a veranda, lcd television, ensuite, telephone, net, beautiful delightful basket and all the luxuries of residence and I was waited available and foot with a stream of beautiful nurses.

I was taken down to the theatre, every where was pristine, i'd honestly say it was more hygenic than some hospitals I had been to in Australia. The medical staff were amazing. When I awoke I was in my own place, using the physician and two nurses, taking care of my every need. That morning I decided my supper from any restaurant that could be beaten by a menu, then I slept on and off between nurses arriving and out through the evening doing their obs.

I slept for two nights, since I was going on my own, then I was taken back once again to my resort, with my medications and creams, I spent the next 10 days between the restaurants, the areas and the beach. Daily some one in the hospital checked up on me and asked if I needed anything. On my last evening, my driver picked me up at 8am and took me right back for the last time to see the medical practitioner for my stitches out.

Rather unhappy that I had fallen in love with Thailand, my adventure had arrived at a conclusion and it is wonderful people, someday I'd return with my family and share in the miracles of Thailand.
