Recently one of my son's favorite TELEVISION areas conducted a study of children. They asked kiddies which superpower they would rather have: the ability to fly or to be invisible? In my experience it seemed to be a no-brainer--to travel almost certainly! To begin with, I believe the capability to travel supplies a much more chance for adventure, fun, and freedom. Just think about being able to go anywhere, any time you want, without worrying about traffic, road conditions, or gas money! While being unseen provides a selection of opportunities as well it just seems so sneaky to me that I feel uncomfortable even thinking about it. My son agreed with me. He thought flying would be a lot more fun. Number surpise there as he is a child who likes being away from home. Then I must say I started initially to think about the question. What does our choice say about us? I think I would genuinely wish to know why a child would pick invisibility over flying. I'd fear that a kid who chose that option either already felt invisible or wished they certainly were. Clicking [http://www.dogwatch.com/ invisible fence] possibly provides lessons you might use with your co-worker. I would be worried about their self-esteem and protection in social relationships. Obviously, on the other hand, there are specific practical considerations. There are always a quantity of instances where invisibility could serve many purposes once and for all on a tiny or large scale. Apparently this problem 's been around for some time. A public radio station did a course on superheroes sometime ago and took a asking which power their market would like, the power to fly or to be hidden. Men general, voted that they wanted to fly and girls that they wanted to be hidden. Why? So that the men could fly their kids to school and soccer in place of fighting traffic and women wanted to be invisible so that they could sit in on conversations and hear what was being said about them. No-one wished to make use of the power to help the others. I see that survey much more disappointing than the one for children. Although not surprising. I am not a negative person (except in regards to my students' reasons for not doing their homework) generally speaking but more frequently when I hear some act of courageous good I'm surprised rather than established. So while this could certainly be seemingly a trivial problem, something like the Barbara Walter's "If you could be an animal, what can you be" sort, but I think it could cause a much deeper discussion. What do you consider? Which would you rather be? Which superpower could you rather your child have? Drop by Words of Inspiration On the web and vote within our study!.
