COWBOY HEAVEN IS WHERE I LIVE Set in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains, my neighborhood is abundant with western myth and tradition. My neighborhood is what everyone thinks of when they think of the Wild West. From ten gallon hats to horses, rodeos to Wranglers, my home may be the epitome of Cowboy Heaven. Dig up further on [http://www.yelp.com/biz/west-usa-realty-carl-chapman-realtor-phoenix Carl Chapman, Realtor] by browsing our cogent web site. My home is for you if seeing Westerns on Saturday can be your notion of fun then. The official mascot of my town is Jacob Walsh, better-known as the Lost Dutchman. According to legend, Mr. Walsh was a crazy prospector who spent his days trying to find gold throughout the Superstition Mountains. One day, Walsh brought an enormous piece of gold to the local considering office. When asked where he found it, Walsh proclaimed he had a secret gold mine and that the piece was merely a little bit of the gold. Walsh died a short while later using the secret place of the goldmine with him to the grave. To this day adventurers and tourists still travel to my home to see if they will get the Lost Dutchman’s hidden treasure. Some return broken-hearted, the others don’t return in any way. One thing is without a doubt, no one has found the goldmine yet. If trying to find gold isn’t your case, maybe visiting the Goldfield Ghost Town is more your speed. Today renovated in to a tourist attraction, Goldfield Ghost Town offers a little of everything any buckaroo might want. You can travel to the world class steakhouse and saloon or watch a gunfight in the middle of town, pan for gold flakes in a babbling brook or tour an abandoned mineshaft. Goldfield Ghost Town certainly enhances the western ambience of my neighborhood. Yet another tourist attraction which may spark your focus is Apache Land. Apache Land is a little film business that made its hay trip to the level of the 1950s and 60s when Western movies were being churned out faster than people could watch them. A number of the films shot at Apache Land were, Charro with Elvis Presley, The Gambler with Kenny Rogers and An Occasion for Dying with Jack Palance. Apache Land is definitely a must-see if Westerns are your issue then. Since we've panned gold at the ghost-town, visited an old movie studio and heard a bit about the Lost Dutchman, its time for you to check out the event named after good ole Jacob Walsh himself. Lost Dutchman Days is a festival held in late February to honor Jacob Walsh and simply take delight within my hometowns roots. The festival includes a parade and rodeo plus a carnival. Finally, the event is frequently topped off with a performance by a number of Country Music’s top artists. All things considered the tourist traps and festivities have gone yearning to you to get back to nature, worry not; my hometown also offers Jeep tours deep in to the heart of the Superstitions. These relaxing yet difficult path tours will take you as far from society as you might get without leaving your cell phone’s range. From Weavers Needle to Canyon Lake, you can view the Sonoran Desert the way in which Mother Nature intended it. Yes, my neighborhood may feel country and little, but it is mounted on one of the largest towns in the world. The main Greater Phoenix metropolitan area, Apache Junction, Arizona is my hometown.
