Well even just after seeing the film, I am still left to wonder what the huge controversy is all about. I am not even certain that i want to see aspect 2 nor three, if they ever get made. I could somewhat see why the Catholic League is protesting this film, but in the end its a lot to do about not a truly beneficial film. Now what I liked about the film, The casting of Sam Elliott as Lee Scoresby was precisely what the part expected. When you see him in the film, you soon recognize that he is a lot a lot more that what he appears at very first. Now I had no thought what a bear would do with some really serious armor protection, but with the voice of Sir Ian, you believe that he will defend the hero of the film. Now I recognize that this film is portion 1 of a 3 component film, but the 1st 1 ought to have been so much superior that what we have been offered. I had stated earlier that I had not read any of the books yet but even I could tell that a thing just was not perfect nor was it generating sense in the way that it was told in the movie, it just seemed like way too countless holes were in this film. It appears about 40-60 minutes as well short. From what I could inform if you are a tremendous fan of the book then do not see the film at all, you will leave the movie palace, quite angry. If you have young youngsters (ten years old and up) then this looks like it would be a excellent film for them to see. For the parents, it will leave you frustrated. I can see a very good film in this film, but all we get in a different mess by the end of the day.
