It seems that more and more location-based services are appearing, jumping on the Social Networking group.

Today, I am no old fuddy-duddy, and I can observe how some of these companies could be useful to organizations and perhaps to persons. I do however, have substantial issues on the privacy and security of the services.

Firstly, you will find the real security factors. The data about where you're might be used to a target you privately for malicious intent. This can range from mugging you as you keep a place to burgling your property while you are out.

Then there are the issues of who has use of this data. There are various rules and regulations which apply to information protection but under what legislation are you accounts being managed? Who both from an employment point of view and a company point of view has usage of the information? Are your areas, activities and practices being seen, monitored and examined for different factors - some of those may be simply for targeted advertising but the others might be for more sinister purposes?

I've been critical before of individuals who post on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites with a lot of detail about what they're doing and where they're. Now we've solutions created specifically to post and obtain this information, and we're signing up to them en-masse. We are allowing the others to monitor our every movement since we've think we are being cultural and it will make us more popular.

The straightforward fact of the problem is that people will keep themselves open because there are multiple, intricate choices on the security settings site - will every individual really comprehend all of them? And yet another question is how do you know all of your "friends" would be the only people watching your data? It could possibly be that their reports have been jeopardized or compromised, or indeed that you have mistakenly included a "friend" who is not who you feel it is.

My viewpoint is this - whatever you share on the net, even only to "friends" you should consider it public domain and obvious to everybody, like [http://facebook.com.bd/blog/362732/red-lion-data-and-how-to-keep-everything-in-mind-so-as-to-obtain-the-best-p/ best restaurants in downtown chicago].

Don't tell anybody any such thing, say you are or have now been everywhere, or opine about something you would not want your mother, your supervisor, your spouse, potential managers, and associates (and mothers?) or the remaining world to understand!
